Product Warranty and Complaint Terms

These terms define the procedure for the buyer to submit complaints about non-conformity of goods with the terms of the contract (manufacturing defects) and how product warranty is provided in the xadobaltic.lv online store.

1. Consumer Legal Rights (Complaints)

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia:
Natural persons (consumers) have the right to submit claims regarding non-conformity of goods within 2 (two) years from the date of purchase (delivery).
During the first 6 months after receiving the goods, it is assumed that the non-conformity existed at the time of delivery, unless the seller can prove otherwise.

2. Warranty Terms for Legal Entities

Legal entities (companies) not covered by consumer protection regulations are subject to the warranty period set by the manufacturer or a standard 6 (six) month warranty period from the date of receipt.

3. Specifics of Automotive Chemicals, Oils and Technical Fluids (Expiry Date)

Given the xadobaltic.lv product range (XADO oils, revitalisants, automotive chemicals, additives), warranty and complaint handling are linked to the product's expiry date and proper storage:
The manufacturer's warranty (expiry date) is valid only if the product has been stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
The warranty does not cover cases where the product was stored improperly after opening, resulting in loss of its chemical or technical properties.

4. Cases NOT Covered by Warranty

Warranty obligations are void in the following cases:
The item has visible mechanical damage that occurred after delivery to the buyer.
The instructions for use or the manufacturer's technical requirements were not followed.
The item was used for purposes for which it was not intended.
The buyer cannot present a proof of purchase.

5. Complaint Submission and Review Procedure

If a defect or non-conformity is discovered:

  1. Contact: The buyer sends a written application to olaintranssia@inbox.lv.
  2. The application must include:
    • Buyer's full name (or company name) and contact information.
    • Order or invoice number and date.
    • Product name and description of the defect found.
    • Required: Attach photos or video clearly showing the defect, packaging condition and batch number / expiry date.
  3. Review: We review the application and respond within 15 days of receipt.

If the complaint is deemed valid, at the buyer's choice we will: exchange the defective item for a new one; remedy the non-conformity (if technically possible); refund the amount paid for the item.
